Attire Branding Guide

This guide establishes standards for employees and departments creating apparel that incorporates the Lancer brand. Consistent use of the Lancer logo and brand elements helps maintain a professional image and protects the integrity of the brand across all locations, departments, and events. Employees are encouraged to show pride in the Lancer brand while adhering to these guidelines.

Approval Requirements

Any apparel created for:

  • Department initiatives

  • Company-sponsored events

  • Trade shows

  • Charity events

  • Employee engagement activities

  • Sports teams representing Lancer

  • Customer-facing activities

  • Recruiting events

  • Any apparel purchased using company funds

Must be reviewed and approved by the Marketing Team before production. This ensures:

  • Brand consistency

  • Proper logo usage

  • Appropriate messaging

  • Compliance with corporate branding standards

No orders should be placed with vendors until written approval has been received from Marketing.

Personal Employee Apparel

Lancer logos cannot be used for personal apparel unless pre-approved by Marketing.

Logo Usage Standards

Always use logo files provided by Marketing.

Do not:

  • Recreate the logo

  • Trace the logo

  • Download logos from websites or screenshots

  • Modify logo colors

  • Stretch or distort the logo

Maintain clear space around the logo equal to the height of the "L" in the logo. No text, graphics, seams, or embroidery should interfere with this space.

Approved Apparel Colors

Personal employee apparel featuring only the Lancer logo should be limited to approved primary brand colors.

Preferred Colors

  • Black

  • White

  • Charcoal Gray

  • Navy

  • Approved Lancer Blue (per brand standards)

Additional colors may only be used with Marketing approval.

Prohibited Uses

The following uses are not permitted:

  • Altering logo colors

  • Rotating the logo

  • Stretching or compressing the logo

  • Adding effects 

  • Combining logos with unofficial graphics

  • Creating parody versions of the logo

  • Using outdated logo versions

  • Placing logos on visually cluttered backgrounds that reduce readability

Messaging and Additional Graphics

Any apparel that includes:

  • Event names

  • Department names

  • Employee groups

  • Campaign slogans

  • Charity branding

  • Anniversary logos

  • Custom artwork

  • Team graphics

Must receive Marketing approval before production. This requirement applies even when an approved Lancer logo is used.

Vendor Coordination

Marketing can provide:

  • Approved logo files

  • Vector artwork

  • Brand color specifications

  • Printing guidance

  • Embroidery recommendations

  • Design review and approval

Employees and departments should request official artwork directly from Marketing to ensure accuracy and quality.

Compliance

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in:

  • Rejection of designs

  • Request for redesign

  • Removal of unauthorized apparel from official events

  • Denial of reimbursement for unapproved purchases

Lancer reserves the right to determine whether any branded apparel complies with corporate branding standards.
